Main 5 Character Chart

For the character lineup, I focused mainly on using poses, facial expressions, and (a little bit) height differences to express each character’s personality. The leftmost character to the rightmost character’s names are the following: Solei (he/she/they), Harlequin (he/him), Tammy (she/her), Sera (she/her), and Elijah (he/him). Multiple iterations for poses of each character were created with rough sketches using circles. Then I created a rough sketch for each character, focusing primarily on the anatomy before focusing on their clothing. Afterwards, I lowered the opacity of the sketch to begin my lineart using the Default Scopus Pencil in Procreate for the clothes and body of each character. Once the lineart was finished, I used the lasso tool to lay in base colors for the character’s body and clothes. I used variations of reddish tints with a multiply setting to add the shadows and blush for the characters, making them look brighter and more lively (coinciding with the warmness of Havenfield). After shading was finished, I used a dark reddish brown to color the skin lineart of the characters to soften the appearances. Finally, I scaled the characters to accurate heights (using a height comparison generator) to make them proportional to one another. Their poses say a lot about who they are, and I really wanted that to come through visually without needing any text or dialogue.
