​​The daughter of Korean immigrants, Sera was born and raised in the United States. Her father is a respected lawyer, and her mother stays at home, dedicating her life to supporting Sera's future. In return for their "sacrifices," Sera feels it's her duty to be perfect. An A+ never feels like an award, but rather an obligation. ​Every late night of studying is a struggle to prove she is worth their effort. She prides herself on being the top of her class, but the constant pressure has made her rigid and anxious, leaving little room for rest. She struggles to let herself relax, afraid that even one moment of stillness might mean she's falling behind.
