Elijah
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Personality: Charismatic, athletic, and easy to like. He's every bit the golden boy of Havenfield High. He blends in effortlessly with his teammates, laughing at their jokes, joining in their antics, and fitting neatly into the mold of what a football player “should” be. But beneath the polished exterior, he's uncertain and restless. He craves approval so deeply that he’s willing to bend himself to fit whatever others expect, even when it goes against his own instincts.
Backstory
A sixteen-year-old sophomore at Havenfield High, Elijah stands out with his ginger hair, freckles dusted across his cheeks, and quick smile. He plays wide receiver on the school’s football team, his parents sitting proudly in the stands at every game. To most, he seems to have the perfect setup: a supportive family, natural athletic ability, and the kind of charm that makes him well-liked.

But approval in the Gallagher household has always come with strings attached. His father, once a promising athlete whose career ended before it began, lives vicariously through Elijah’s success on the field. Every touchdown brings cheers and praise; every mistake earns a disappointed sigh. His mother, though warmer, reinforces the same cycle, her affection loudest when Elijah’s accomplishments give the family something to boast about. Growing up, Elijah learned that being himself wasn’t enough... being impressive was.

Now, as the demands of football intensify and his parents’ expectations rise, Elijah finds himself caught in a silent tug-of-war. He isn’t sure whether he loves the game or if he just loves the applause that comes with it. More than anything, he wants to feel genuine belonging, and to be seen and accepted for who he is, not just the role he plays. But stepping out of the mold risks rejection, and Elijah isn’t sure if he’s ready to find out who he might be without everyone else’s approval.
